Personal Prayer
Personal Prayer
Beginners are requested to use the Prayers of Repentance, Healing and Deliverance given under the heading 'Prayers' for a few days (or at least once if you are not a beginner) and then start personal prayer.
Jer 33:3 – “Call to me and I will answer you, and
will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known”
Mt 6:6 – “But whenever you pray, go into your room
and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who
sees in secret will reward you”
Choose a place where there
are no external disturbances. God is available 24 hours but early morning is the
best for personal prayer because we are fresh and there are no external
disturbances. The following scriptures tell us the importance of using the word
of God (Ps 119:105, Jer 23:29, Rom 10:17, Heb 4:12, 11:6, Jn 6:63, 1Ptr 1:23, Mt 4:4, 1 Thes 5:23-24, Heb 11:6).
The five sacrifices that please God:
Heb 13:15, Ps 50:23, Ps
51:17, Rom 12:1, Heb 13:16
Instructions: Begin every section by reading one scripture in an
audible tone. Spend around 5 minutes for each section and as much as possible

12. Silent Adoration
Ps 46:10 teaches ‘Be
still and know that I am God’
1 Sam 3:10 teaches us to say “Speak Lord for your servant is listening”
Note:
Avoid any praises once you start worship. We are still only
when our mind is blank of all thoughts. Experience the presence of the Lord.
During silent adoration love the lord intimately without words and touch him in
your mind. Eagerly wait to hear his message. Waiting silently with a blank mind
is not waste of time. It is a sign of intimate love making.
